Audit Shield

Terms of Service

Terms governing access to and use of Audit Shield.

Updated August 29, 2026

Service

Audit Shield provides software for organizing workers’ compensation premium-audit records, monitoring document completeness, reviewing certificate dates, estimating payment exposure, and generating audit packages.

Eligibility and authority

You must be at least 18 and authorized to act for the business whose records you manage. You are responsible for keeping account access secure and for promptly removing team members who should no longer have access.

Customer records and responsibilities

You retain responsibility for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of information and files submitted to the service. You must confirm extracted certificate information before relying on it and must maintain any original records required by your carrier, auditor, regulator, or law.

Estimates, not determinations

Readiness scores, coverage statuses, suggested actions, and potential exposure amounts are organizational estimates produced from the data you provide and transparent rules. They are not coverage opinions, official premium determinations, legal advice, tax advice, or guarantees of an audit result.

Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans renew for the billing period displayed at checkout until cancelled. Prices, included limits, taxes, the merchant of record, and the billing descriptor are shown before purchase. You authorize the payment provider to charge the selected payment method for recurring fees and applicable taxes.

Cancellation and refunds

You may request cancellation at any time. Access generally continues through the paid billing period. Refund and billing-error handling is described in the Cancellation and Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Acceptable use

You may not upload unlawful or malicious content, infringe another person’s rights, attempt unauthorized access, bypass usage limits, probe the service without permission, interfere with operations, or use another business’s records without authorization.

Ownership

You retain ownership of customer content. You grant the service a limited right to host, process, copy, and transmit that content only as needed to provide, secure, and support the service. Audit Shield and its software, interface, branding, and documentation remain owned by their respective operator and licensors.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted operation. Features may change to improve reliability, security, legal compliance, or product quality. Material reductions to paid functionality will be communicated when reasonably possible.

Suspension and termination

Access may be suspended for nonpayment, security risk, unlawful use, or material violation of these terms. You may stop using the service and request account deletion. Sections concerning payments, ownership, disclaimers, and liability survive termination where applicable.

Warranty and liability

The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. Audit Shield does not guarantee an insurer will accept documents or reach a particular premium result. To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability for claims related to the service is limited to fees paid for the affected service during the preceding three months. This limit does not apply where it is prohibited by law.

Contact and changes

Questions can be submitted through the contact page. Material updates will be posted with a revised date. Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
